Welcome to the Good Life Lab and this page of curated happiness experiments.  Hi, I'm Dr. Dave if we haven't met yet on my YouTube channel or this website.

The Good Life Lab is all about exploring and trying on new ways of thinking, feeling and acting so that something in us might begin to shift

in a positive direction. 

My goal on this page is to provide a series of well-being exercises called 21 Days with Dr. Dave; these are techniques based on science-backed research that I have experimented with myself in many cases. You'll see concepts such as Gratitude, Awe, Social Connection, Purpose, and more.  

​Research suggests that if you can practice one of these tools for at least 21 days, you will begin to experience a greater sense of happiness and life satisfaction.  ​​In my experience, I've needed months and even up to a year to feel the real impact of habit formation.  

But, sometimes, we only need a small adjustment to get us going.

 

So, have some fun with crafting your own 21 day happiness and well-being experiments, and just see what happens. 

Occassionally, not too often, I will share resources (podcasts, research, ideas, etc...) about living a good, meaningful, and happier life directly to your inbox.
