“Positive psychology is the scientific study of what makes life most worth living”
(Peterson, 2008).
The purpose of the Positive Psychology Summer Well-being Project is to provide an opportunity for a small group of people to create a personalized well-being, or what makes life worth living, project in collaboration with 8 to 10 other people.
We will go through a process together of identifying interests, strengths, and needs in our lives and designing a personalized mini-positive psychology project to boost meaning, happiness, and life satisfaction.
We will meet for an hour a week via zoom with additional work (about another hour a week) to explore, design and do our own projects.
A few of the positive psychology science-based practices that we will consider include Gratitude, Awe, Forgiveness, Mindfulness, Empathy, Compassion, Resilience, and Relationships.
